Seattle Legal Messengers in the Seattle/Aurora area is currently interviewing candidates for a full-time office/clerical position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, data entry, invoicing, scanning, handling incoming and outgoing mail, proofreading, dispatching work for service, driving a company vehicle, picking up and dropping off legal documents with clients, delivering documents to individuals, law firms, and government agencies, as well as filing documents at the courthouse.
Starting pay is $16.00 per hour. After 60 days, pay increases to $17.00 per hour + medical/dental insurance + holiday pay. Immediately upon employment, you will begin to accrue paid-time-off (PTO) of 0.025 hours for every hour you work. If you work regular 40 hours per week, that equates to 52 PTO hours or 6.5 days per year.
Must be computer literate, i.e., have a basic understanding of computers and how to operate or navigate with a computer. An ideal candidate should be able to type at least on average 50 words per minute (WPM). Knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus. Prior office experience is preferred but not a requirement. We will train you. Additionally, an ideal candidate would be available to drive a company vehicle and perform legal messenger/courier services if needed on occasion.
